Xerion air brakes problem

Hi, Claas 3800 Xerion, when we plug the trailer brakes in the air tank fills, but then when go to drive away the brakes won't release? Looks like the tractor won't release the parking brake. Tried the trailer on another tractor and worked fine.

Air valve is on right hand side inside right hand wheel by the post that supports weight frame. Under the main air brake valve there are some little electrical operated air valves one Is for the hand brake will be stuck, you can bung the air pipe off or try and free up the valve

Thanks have found which valve block it is, nearest in the picture. Can they be dismantled or gently tapped to see if it will free up? When you say bung the air pipe off? Is that to check if it is the problem?

It's the little blue ones that release hand brake carnt remember off top of my head witch one but if you turn little yellow bit will manually open valve if you dont here a little puff of air when you turn it valve is broke you can swap them with the valve for fan reverse

Should of looked at pick harder if you take pipe out 12 hand brake should come off just have to bung hole up in valve if not cut pipe half way and wire tie back on itself

Are you sure the couplers have valve lifters fitted?look in the trailer couplers on the one that works ok to check if there's a bar across inside the couplers to lift the valve off it's seat on the one that doesn't work if it used to work before the fittings were swapped.?

Start the tractor up, choc the wheels and press the middle of the red (female coupler) with a punch. The air should come out regardless of the handbrake being on or off.
next press the middle of the yellow (male) coupler. With the brakes applied, air should pour out. With the brakes off, no air should be released. Is this what is happening?

Trailer needs valve lifters to unseat the couplers on the tractor....after you've tried what Andrew said that will establish if tractor is correctly working, can only be trailer then.if trailers are not fixed suzies ,i.e they have a a q/r coupler either end, then they can be put on the wrong way round.
