Someone told my mum to sprinkle washing powder about.her back yard is covered in it at the moment .Persil everywhere.not doing a sh1!s worth of good as far as I can see

I've always used any "stray " bags of road salt that the council leave out side our farm entrance, it worked well on a set of steps that had become covered in moss etc

I have used a combination of the spinning covered patio cleaner heads that you can get for a pressure washer plus spaying with jayes fluid to kill any residue.
The spinning head does good job without blasting out all the sand from block paving and gives a uniform finish as opposed to the lighter and darker marks you generally get if using just a lance
