Hi
I’m currently looking into getting genus or cogent to do all the ai on the farm
All the cows and maiden heifers
What’s putting me of at the moment is that’s it’s another commitment financially
I’m not getting the results I want so that’s why I’m looking into it and what are other peoples thoughts who are carrying out atm
Many thanks

We went with Genus a few years ago now. Cheaper and better performance than employing an extra staff member, allowing staff to concentrate on other tasks. We had a 'blip' which was largely down to farm staff not communicating with Genus staff. Changes in staff mean performance figures (fertility) are top notch so well worth it.

Genus have mad rms more expensive than their heat systems to cut down on work load for the techs
It’s not just the contract charge when semen suppliers are providing the breeding service. The semen will be dearer because you have no choice. As said above, independent if you can find one.
