Local Isuzu garage lent me their demo auto dmax for two days and a manual for a day. They are pretty desperate to get people trying them. Lot of farmers don't like the thought of such a small engine and after trying one most still don't like the idea. They have sold a lot of 2.5s though...

They're built like tanks (y):D

And thats only the wimmin, Was down at the gig racing on St Marys couple of years back.
Seems its a Dutch custom to leave clogs outside the door, Somebody grabbed them during the night.
8 very angry bare foot Dutch amazons were a site to behold next morning searching the town

Meh, no low range transfer case, lower ground clearance . . .

I'd imagine not a lot of serious "off road ability" required in Holland

British Army have armoured vehicles without Diff Locks and about 20° Roll angle. Having drove a new D-Max at work I reckon it could get to the same places if not more in some cases than them.

Still very happy with Amarok, now 4.5k miles. Tows 4 cows with calves easily with more stability than anything else I've driven. Pleasure on motorway, almost too good as you need to keep an eye on speedo (soon at 80mph). Been on gravel tracks and muddy lanes no worries but not axle deep yet. Better with 150-200kg in tray to keep back end behaving at speed on the rough. Definitely more frugal than Swb shogun on diesel.
Try one.

I'm amazed you fellas get demo Utes & take them home & tow trailers with them & have them for a few days . .

Bloody hell, a quick lap around the block is about all we'd get away with as a test drive . . .
its a thing Isuzu are doing atm, but tbh they all should. its a work vehicle so how else are you supposed to make an informed decision ? believe what they tell you ? yeah right !

But all Isuzu end up doing is persuading the customer to order a 2.5 whilst they're still available. Salesman I dealt with reckoned they had sold nine 2.5 to every one 1.9 since the new engine had come out. But the 4k saving probably had something to do with it too! ;)

Edit. He did say though that nearly every demo had resulted in a sale which I can believe judging by how many they've sold locally.
