Cracking today and which ever weather forecaster said it was going to feel real cold got it wrong. Walking round in a shirt in the sun
yes but youre not a office dwelling softy that thinks anything under 10c is the end of the world,been beautiful here this morning cutting hedges but had to go back on some grass as the stubbles had got soft again by 10.30

Daaaaaayyyy 6. No rain. Did some ploughing. Plough turned over some real wet livery stuff. Reasoned that if the ground gets frozen next week, it won't get done.......... That's my excuse, anyway.:whistle:

Amazing how the weather changes on our small island between places relatively close together.

I left Bristol at 4pm- it felt springlike and the car thermometer said 7.0c. Got back to home at the top of our small hill in Hampshire at 5.45pm, the sun has just slipped over the horizon and it was only 1.0c with a bitter wind. Ice largely unmelted, even in the sunshine.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
