Rain over night, another 3mm we didn't need.
Feeling smug as cut till 00:30 and finished a field and the concrete is damp this morning
Proper rain - hoo bloody ray
Need I say more
All hail ??? ( as in all hail to the -- )
I am going to put the fert spreader on in a minute - need I say more
Drizzled off. Tea with Mrs Static will be a nice change.
Hail, thunder , lightening and some decent rain for a change . Had just put some more stubble turnips in and got too wet to roll .
Fertiliser on the grass now.
As long as you dont get a static charge
Wind moved more SE over night bringing smoke from Roaches fire towards Flash rather than over Winking Man, some dampness. Morning dry, a lot cooler, wind changing to become more westerly in the morning before a couple of hours of rain after 12 noon. Now dry again. Hopefully will have dampened fire which appears to be in trees on the S side of the Roaches, but has spread to the ridge and occasionally blows over onto the N side which is what I can see.
There's a drone video on Youtube (fee applies to commercial sites so search for it yourself or use a local newspaper site that has it)
There's a video from Staffs Fire & Rescue on road in the picture after the rain for an hour or so.
No measurable rain in this part of Sth Lincs so far during August. Combines have been rolling everyday this month, including today all day.
You wouldn’t be that far from us we’ve had 44 mm since yesterday lunchtime
Absolutely pouring down, missed them all day. Shame we couldn't get the straw bales but hey ho been cutting all day
11mm, but it seemed more than that. Maybe my rain gauge has a leak!
Had a few good showers here today. We have had to upset a few Brides the last few weeks by canceling their wedding Fireworks as i deemed it irresponsible to go ahead.Hope to see some greening of fields soon
I had to tip a fair old bit out of the wheelbarrow!
Perhaps we had more than you??
Beautiful morning, hopefully get tomorrow out the way then back to wall to wall sun please
There is always a charge involved
One farm had about half a mm, so we are back cutting this morning. Wettest corn if the year so far at fifteen percent. Hot now. Balers everywhere. Hoping to get another sixty AC cut ahead of the rain and just leave eighty next to the drier shed for next week. Then oats and linseed. Then.....bank holiday weekend off.
