I've never known it so green at this time of year, but we had 34mm in August and 45 mm so far this month, and that's after 220mm in June & July.

Forecast : Green with Yellow for Convective rainfall and Wind
Forecast - 24 hours (weather and hazard summary)
A band of rain in western parts of the region will push east across the region this morning. Within this band there is expected to be a thinner band of intense rainfall capable of producing around 10mm in an hour. Strong wind gusts will be coincident with the passage of this band, veering from the south to the west. Gusts of 40-45mph are expected with isolated gusts closer to 50mph, most likely along eastern coastal fringes. Rain is expected to clear easternmost areas by around midday. Turning drier and cooler with sunny spells, and isolated showers in the west of the region. Becoming dry and mostly clear overnight.

Sunny intervals on Tuesday morning, with a few showers moving in from the south-west. Outbreaks of rain will push in from the west during the afternoon, with a spell of heavy rain likely during the evening accompanied by blustery south-westerly winds and a risk of the odd lightning strike. Rain continuing into the night, only clearing eastern areas at the end of the night. Drier and cooler on Wednesday with sunny spells and just the odd shower. Showers quickly dying away later in the afternoon to leave a dry night with long clear spells. Rain spreading east across the region on Thursday with blustery winds once again. Likely staying unsettled on Friday with further showers or longer spells of rain.
