Zetor forterra pto/splitter problem.

So my 54 plate 10641 is a great tractor but has problems.
Jumping up through split gears on uphill, also pto cuts out on steep incline.
Lots of oil in backend.
They have had backend apart, supposedly sorted but pto under load is not working.
Put it on topper 9 and it really struggles on startup and seems like topper in light topping (60 hp requirement ) behaves like sapping 100 hp out of tractor. Any ideas on what has been wrongly reassembled by agric. engineer replacing pto clutch pack?

On a zetor my landlord had a few years ago it had the same sort of problem. Mechanics had it apart a few times and still couldn’t rectify it. Was eventually found to be lack of oil in the back end. There was a notch missing on the dipstick and we were filling it to what we thought was the correct level but tuned out due to missing notch we weren’t putting enough oil in.

We have a 9641 that jumped up through the gears on hills, the oil in the backend needs to be way higher than the marks on the dipstick, probably 50mm higher from memory but we just topped it up til it cured the problem

I've a Forterra 9641 too - it has two sets of marks on the dip stick on the back end. A flat section about an inch long and a couple of notches higher up on the dipstick.
From memory the book mentions if being used on steep ground to fill to the upper notch rather than the top of the flat section lower down on the stick.

Thanks for experiences to date.....it is well filled with oil but maybe I will put another 5 gallons in!
What I want is knowledge of pto problem although doubtless connected to splitters due to location.
The splitter and the pto both work off the same hydraulic pump.(Separate from the main linkage pump) It sounds like there may be a fractured suction pipe to the pump. Afaik, the highest splitter speed is direct drive,so if there's not enough oil getting to the pump when going uphill, the splitter or torque multiplier will automatically go to high and the pto will stop.

I'm guessing that it will be much the same as the older 9540 series. If so,the pumps are on the left side below the door. The transmission/pto pump is external on the housing that the two filters are on. The linkage pump is internal,on the rear of the same housing. Should be a visible external plastic tube from the transmission housing to the pump/filter housing, although come to think of,if that is the only suction tube for both pumps,I'd expect the linkage to stop working going up hill as well... May be a different updated system on the Forterra though??
