more rain today, poured down for about 30 seconds just enough to dampen the ground, dont think I have every know a season where we get rain most days but barely wets the ground

Plenty of cracks opened up in wheat and linseed, and this land doesn't have any clay content to speak of.

Wheat going off in fields around here, I don't think I've ever seen it this bad before. Irrigated spuds 5 times now put on about 100mm. Had 23mm of rain since irrigation started. Going to be an expensive watering year!

There won't be many harvesting 25t/ac this year, irrigated or not.
