Best silage wrap?

Which brands do most people reckon are the best for toughness, reliability and keeping bale baled forage as good as possible?

We put 6 layers of either black Topwrap or Silotite; never go for the cheapest but try and pick the best. Generally our bales keep well but this year we have had some showing minor spoilage of lower bales where the upper bales have rested on them.

Sort of dinner plate sized patches of mould either side of the apex of the bale, where upper bales have rested on them; not all bales by any means but perhaps 20% of some lower bales. Other stacks have been absolutely fine right through. We stack dry haylage 3 layers high in the conventional pyramid pattern and have done so relatively successfully for many years.

So is there one brand that most people feel is an outstandingly good and reliable product? TIA

I use silotite which is 25mu in thickness, never had a problem with it, we always stick to a minimum of 6 layers. Ive tried rani wrap and visqueen both are 25mu and would recommend them as well. there is two different manufacturing techniques, silotite use the blown technique. I've tried some which use the other method of stretching it before it goes on the roll in the factory and i found that 9/10 the roll would suffer from spiral tear towards the end of the roll when wrapping, this wrap does tend to be cheaper to buy tho...

We use up 2000 rolls a year and have tried quiet a few, generally speaking
Silotite has been very good but they moved some decisions abroad and will no longer make different thickness film for me. Barbier film is excellent the French company to deal with can be less so but I am using them again this year.
Not even sure it is still available but by miles the worst some 15 years ago was Silawrap.hideous.

Silotite is my preference, most of the others are OK nowadays. Not convinced that there is any benefit to the prestretched stuff as I found it more likely to break on the 1st few bales.

used Silotite almost exclusively for a few yrs now never have any bother. used to use volac topwrap but found silotite cheaper. have used silawrap too and know people that use a lot with no problems just a bit of a faff with it being in that plastic bag inside the box changing it on a windy day.
have found nearly all problems with the silage inside is caused by factors other than the wrap mainly handling damage or birds.
