Honestly! It's really time you grew up FFS.
It's so backward looking and offensive to make those sort of remarks and does show you up as being a very inward looking individual. Have you ever ventured out of the principality?
There are good and bad people the world over.
Yes I have, yes there are good people the world over. But I don't think that any nation is committed atrocities on the scale of the Germans. I lost family in world war one and I'm damm sure I'm not going to insult those who gave their lives so we could have our freedom. While there is a breath left in my body I will not forget

Well if you follow that line of thought - and having seen real young talent at the leading edge of technology in agriculture in The Netherlands yesterday - perhaps somebody should bomb us until we are almost completely flattened and then we can rebuild and be everso successful as well :scratchhead:

I really cant believe that you write some of the rubbish you have been recently on the brexit threads @JP1 .

Untill now I thought you were open minded but your post's on the brexit threads come across as very narrow minded and the way you refuse to even listen to people that don't agree with you is to be blunt quite shocking!

( and this comes from someone that has had many heated debates on the NFU on TFF but even thou many people didn't agree with me I always listend and respected their arguments/ view points even if I didn't agree with them )

I would have thought as an intelligent person you knew the reason germany wanted the euro so badly was precisely because the mark was SO strong it was making life very hard for their exporters, they got in bed with a load of basket cases and havent looked back, well until now and of course the money that those basket cases borrowed now cant be paid back and so all the euros germany made is now bailing them out, their people are getting fed up , the german finance minister is terrified that without our NET contribution the EU is bust
No one would argue that they make good stuff, although the fendt engine problems, and jd head gaskets etc shows they arent infallible, strangely a friend had a merc and said build quality was pretty poor, not that every british car is perfect.

Their attitude to housing is different many firms own homes which they rent out to workers just half of germans own their home where here it is two thirds, part of the reason for high house prices here is due to the ridiculous cost of building land, however have just googled the cost near me and they vary from 250,000 to over 400,000 so not that different, yes london prices are stupid but maybe that applies in berlin too.

I have not seen anyone have a go here at germans as individuals but from their national psyche, a bit like the french, as individuals they are very hospitable and warm but threaten their financial position and they close ranks and dump sheep in the docks etc, not that we wouldnt be better for doing a bit of that we play the fair game and try to be reasonable, not many other countries do, maybe its time WE played hard ball

€225-250,000 = £175-197,000

I think you need to go back over all the Brexit threads and read what some TFFers have actually said about Germans

I stated in my post that the people of Germany (many) would love their Deutschmark as would many Dutch for the Guilder. When the change over came, many felt prices went up markedly.

Many Germans would like to be in control of their own currency

My friend's two bedroom flat is 110m2 (i.e. nearly 1200ft2). That's a 4 bedroom modern house on some estates in the UK

The Germans do not lead the World in many things. We excel in some, the Scandinavians in others, the Americans in others. Personally I think that is a good thing

I remain open minded and will consider anyone's reasonable viewpoint. I thought I did post fairly and clearly other (not necessarily ardent Remainers) agree because they liked my post(s).

As you haven't actually cited any specifics, I'm sorry but I'm at a loss to comment much further TBH

Someone might have never been beyond there garden gate and be more worldly educated than a hardened traveller. Just because someone has been somewhere dosent make them an expert, ive been to the Netherlands but i aint expert on pig farming or draining.Ive been to France but im no expert on frogs legs.

I'm posting for my own sake, I'm not canvassing !

Would you like to cite some specifics?

Have you read and actually considered what I wrote and why I may have written it?

Yep iv considered it and it doesn't look at all good, the only things that come to mind is that you are anti British and very narrow minded! ( which I never thought was the case until your posts on the brexit threads )

Still nothing to suggest you've read and digested my posts. Unless you come back with specifics, I shall not be continuing this daft exchange
