well im after a nice pair of boots because i only have my redbacks which i wear everywhere and love, my rubber boots and a 15 quid pair of trainers for PE.My redbacks look like a bit ruff to be going to dances and stuff! as for the gun the ideas gonei found a secondhand browning trap gun for a few hundred quid that will do the jobi had a go of a 686 evo and the used browning and i shot better with the cheap gun so thats what i will be gettingJoe S, I might want a bit of advice from you. There are close to 60 years difference in our ages, but that does not stop me believing you know more about some things than I do, so, if you get a PM from me I would be grateful for your response.
That was just to show I do not consider you a feckless loon, but you seem to be in a position, and inclination, to spend a lot of money on non-essential items like guns and dress boots. I was under the impression you were wanting to carve an agricultural future for yourself. If so, why do you want to spend money that could help get you on the farming ladder?
I am not saying you should not fritter some money on enjoyable pastimes, and would condemn anybody who says you should skimp and save every last penny, because without enjoying life you might as well not be here. At the same time, I reckon a serviceable pair of "dealer" boots are more than adequate, and that is what I wear. I have a good pair of black brogues and not so good brown ones just in case boots are not the correct footwear for the occasion - e.g. my son's wedding and my mother's funeral within six months of each other a few years back.

i seem to manage as for shoes i yet to find a pair i like to wear im a big fan of boots! Can you dance in boots? I found I could stand on tender little toes even when wearing a pair of lightweight shoes.
Sensible decision on the gun. Well done. That leaves you a few quid to squander without feeling guilty. Have fun, you are only here once.
