As I say that is a general feed cost in this area, correct me if I'm wrong Scotland lads. What litres are you doing? If ur doing more than 27 litres i will sit down and say really well done. We had a feed cost per litre of 6 ppl when the milk price was low, and that resulted in the cows doing 26/27 litres. Going by your name you are a prolific grazer? So I'm going to put it out there that our systems are completely different, so surely you can't really criticise my decisions?

It ranges between 30-33l depending on days in milk, time of year and what we can access in the clamp. We buffer feed all year, every cow goes out night and day as soon as possible and stay out as long as possible.

There is a difference between criticism and stating fact. If the milk price is 30p and feed cost is 10/11p there is 20p left.

Was that today? Ur doing a good job sir, and I regret we didn't make the best silage we could have last year which is making us feed more now but hey ho, that really is the way the choco cookie crumbles

What’s happened arla with the goat milk? Terminated all it’s suppliers contracts

Really? How much notice? Are they not owners?

I ask because i know someone that had an offer of a contract with Arla and another company. Arla came back with a revised better offer when they knew they had competition.
