I think he was referring to your hypocrisy by being scathing about straw burners being immoral in a year like this, and farmers should be baling everything to help out the struggling livestock farmers.

Only to find out you are selling to the very market you were criticising!

You are, of course entitled to your opinions.

Correct on all counts!

The biomass market has set a price for straw, which means the days of subsidised Zombie arable farmers stupidly giving away their straw to their subsidised Zombie livestock farming counterparts for peanuts is hopefully over.

So you think the AD and biomass are a good use of public funds? Typical Tory Halfwit.

Hey! You're the guy selling straw to a power station! :D:ROFLMAO::sneaky:

Fudge, I dont think the irony of you're wee rant about "the good use of public funds" will be lost on anyone, at least not while the public are still prepared to subsidise your apparent 'not for profit' yokel lifestyle

I am very grateful to the tax payer. Obviously I do make a profit.

Chatted to my neighbour last night - apparently the only two nut-jobs in Bedfordshire not cashing in on the £13 a hesston bonanza are us.
Also yesterday I was offered £7 a bale 8*3*3 just to rub in how daft are straw prices
TBF you are probably right not to. It’s hardly a bonanza at the side of the ethanol fueled feed wheat price:whistle:

I have already answered it. As someone of wealth I receive the subsidies you refer to. What difference does that make? If I benefit from a system do I have to agree with the warped logic that underpins. it? Indeed if I didn’t make the most of my own resources I would be letting down my family. Which I regard as a far greater crime than offending a few Tory halfwits on here.

He’s a wind up merchant as nobody can possibly be that stupid.

I think us livestock farmers need to forget about bedding straw for ever, look to slats long term , straw is not a byproduct that is hard to shift anymore, Just use what you need for feeding and find alternatives for bedding.
If enough people use alternatives like sawdust, you can bet your bottom dollar that’ll go up in price.
