Probably easier to have a mass boycott of the scheme ,rather than set up another one that will end up the same way.

Perfect year to abandon RT while supply and demand is in the growers favour.

If ever there was a year to stage a mass boycott of and walk out from farm assurance this is it.

Matters not to me, I have been out for about ten years, but if British farmers want to free themselves from ever increasing regulations and the self perpetuating nonsense of farm assurance now is the time to tell them to make themselves redundant and just walk away.

My neighbours had similar with their own grown feed.
Not sure how it ended tbh.
We supply someone with non assured barley which he feeds to cattle, we had to send him a letter stating that the crop was grown in accordance with all regulations (pesticide use etc) and the grain is of merchantable quality.

To be fair you don’t have to account for all feed deliveries at inspection for beef/lamb they only want to see two or three recent delivery tickets so just show them ones to suit. The whole thing is a farce particularly when merchants discount non assured grain then try to move it farm to farm and surprise surprise the discount is gone

Just sold the last 18% of 2017 harvest wheat for £200/t for June 2019. Very nearly sold this around 6weeks ago for £165/t. That gives me an average of £162.50 for harvest 2017 wheat. All feed wheat.

Attention now turns to 2018 crop marketing whilst keeping a very close eye on 2019 and 2020 as well.
