I sold wheat last Friday as available for £165ex. North Cambs
Probably easier to have a mass boycott of the scheme ,rather than set up another one that will end up the same way.
Perfect year to abandon RT while supply and demand is in the growers favour.
Wonder what it’s back load will be.View attachment 701142
This weeks prices as per local merchant. Maize later on is even cheaper than feed barley! Paragraph above is quite interesting too
Chatting to a lorry driver Friday, taking milling wheat up to Liverpool or up that way anyway and bringing maize from the docks back down and tipping at Enstone.Wonder what it’s back load will be.
We supply someone with non assured barley which he feeds to cattle, we had to send him a letter stating that the crop was grown in accordance with all regulations (pesticide use etc) and the grain is of merchantable quality. My neighbours had similar with their own grown feed.
Not sure how it ended tbh.

not meWho won the bet then?
Just sold the last 18% of 2017 harvest wheat for £200/t for June 2019. Very nearly sold this around 6weeks ago for £165/t. That gives me an average of £162.50 for harvest 2017 wheat. All feed wheat.
Attention now turns to 2018 crop marketing whilst keeping a very close eye on 2019 and 2020 as well.
