If you don't want to add an actual signature you could just list your name (to the same email address please) and we will add your real name rather than forum nickname ........ remember we don't actually know members real names just nicknames and email addresses

Does it have to be actual signatures?
Would a list of names, our real names not usernames, not be just as good.

I know my signature would be pretty much impossible to read anyway.

Anyone wishing to put pen to paper individually, and particularly wants there signature on a personal message to the family, surely has the opportunity.

This is a message of condolence from TFF to show how much Dia meant to the forum and all its members, I’d be grateful if my name were on the group letter, as I’m sure many others would be, but sending a scanned copy of signatures is not going to happen for many members, for lots of different reasons.

Just my thoughts...,

I'm sure like many others I was friends with Dai on several platforms, and have registered my condolences through another way.
On here, we knew him as GTB, and he knew us by our user names, and if TFF has an official line on this I'd have thought it would be as we all know each other in this place.

I'll miss him, that's for sure. Not least for our annual joke at lambing time about him sending up a few hundred ewes for me to lamb, to justify having a vet student come and stay with me!

Draft for members approval, if you think its ok and would like your username added to the letter simply "like" this post, Those that would prefer to add their real name or signature to the letter please email as outlined in previous posts

The management and members of ‘The Farming Forum’ would like to express their deepest sympathy on the loss of Dai.

It is obvious from the number of messages of condolence posted on the Forum that ‘GTB’ as he was known to most of us, meant very much to the Forum community, and was a valued source of help and information to many people, who also shared the jokes and banter with those he ‘knew’ well.

He was certainly a gentleman who will be very much missed, in our ‘virtual ‘ world as he will in reality.

With Deepest Sympathy,

The Farming Forum

Rather than pee'ing around with the protocal or questioning who to send a letter or e-mail to just set up a 'just giving' type site. The family have stipulated where they wish for the donations to go...

I knew nothing of the person involved but it really tugs at the heart strings. He was one of US.

I will very happily give £100 to such an appeal and I'm sure that many, mamy others will join me.

As you say the family have already stipulated where they would like donations to go to so I’m sure your £100 offer would be welcomed by them
