Got a Civ 5 game on the go at the moment. The new settlements Chinese settlements of Xian and Chengdu are why the 4th Chinese-American war started. I had knocked them back to Beijing previously but it occupies a strong position and ended in stalemate. Can I do it this time, maybe? I should have some longer range artillery before to long.

It's been a while since I've fired up Arma, but I tend to prefer the wasteland or exile mods.

DeusEx is a masterpiece really, still need to finish HR.

Does anyone play star citizen?

I haven't played Star Citizen but I understand it is very very good. Deus Ex was a great game but it could have been unbeatable, they made the plot a bit weak in places and took away the emphasis from the sneak em up type play style into a shooter. You should have been able to sneak through the entire game without killing anyone if you wanted, sort of like thief and dishonoured, where the objective can be reached in various ways. It was a bit of a shame and drew criticism from some fans but I enjoyed it all.

I also have Deus Ex mankind divided but I haven't completed it. I'm probably a third of the way in.

Yeah, I've just realised I've jumbled those up.

I ha e completed Human revolution, and agree with you that it could have been a better game.

I think mankind divided is a better game overall, and I am trying for the non-lethal playthrough first time round. I enjoy the challenge, but it is tough.

The Prague map design is outstanding, such a rich environment.

On Star Citizen, I purchased it the other day. I've followed it since the original kickstarter campaign, but only really felt like trying it recently.

I tried it on a 'free fly' week and loved it, plus you can actually buy ships with in game currency now so you don't have to spend £150 on the game to have a few choices of ships.

A good free game that will appeal to Star Trekkies is Star Trek online, fight huge space battles and also ground missions and follow story mode or party up and engage in player vs player or player vs environment missions.

Extremely addictive and also you can spend real world money to upgrade your ships/character/crew/equipment and the like. You have been warned.

How about a little World War 2 historical action. Red Orchestra 2, first person tactical shooter, old game now but graphics are passable. Good team play and a good online community. Typically rounds are team vs team with one defending and one attacking, with the fight focused on specific points on the map. The lush jungles of the Pacific or the Cold hell of the Eastern front.

There was an article on an LBC radio programme today after that Dad sawed his Son's gaming box in half as he was becoming a d@@@head

Several adults (in their 50's) who have entire gaming rooms etc

Not for me, I'm proud to say I've never played a computer game nor have any inclination to start

GTA V, I still can't get over how realistic this game looks despite the fact it is 'only' GTA. The art team must have worked hard on this. The game is just so huge and detailed. Worth every penny of the asking price just for the story. It approaches near film-like levels of narrative.

If you think gta story is good you need to get red dead redemption. 2 I still haven’t finished it and the story and narrative so far is awesome it looks stunning too on PS4

I would much rather play a game than watch a moment of TV or even watch a movie. The latest Red Dead Redemption is an absolute masterpiece, and anyone who doesn't want to play a game for whatever backwards preconceptions they have about the medium of gaming, is really missing out on perhaps the single greatest piece of entertainment of all time.
