Kubota

There doesn't seem to be much aftermarket parts available for the ZF transaxle, whether fitted in a red, blue ,green or orange tractor!
It would be interseting if the price of parts for lets say a pto clutch pack, and the complete brake kit ,including the pistons or pressure plates that can get scored , could be compared for a 150 ish hp Kubota, and the other common tractors.

The ZF transaxle is well engineered and generally will run to very high hours without needing parts. And you obviously don’t know the right aftermarket suppliers!

I stand to be corrected, many of us use this forum as a source hopefully correct information. Granit list a bit for ZF transaxles .
However well made any tractor, the brakes and pto clutch packs can be ruined by a bad driver. So lets have a factuall debate and list the cost of parts for reparing the above for a Kubota, and we can compare the prices for a case/newholland, john deere and massey.

I would say kubota will be the biggest players in agriculture in the not too distant future
That’s certainly the impression their well funded PR department would like us all to have with stories of how worried John Deere are , although I am yet to hear anyone from JD actually pass comment on their “ worries”.
It may well play out that way only time will tell the Vicon and KV stuff is generally well respected but I fear they are already diluting the brands reputations by painting it Orange, the KV stuff especially . That green and red paint scheme has always been the standard of quality so much so that the Ovlac plough now , despite the fact I know nothing about them, on first impression just looks a good machine simply down to the colour scheme. Strange , if not silly, but it is a perception thing built upon by years of good branding by KV and he resultant customer recognition and confidence..
The same KV plough in orange , despite the fact it is exactly the same machine just does not have the same built in brand recognition of quality.
I fear the Japanese masters are set on having it all in their own corporate colour scheme , they own it they can do as they wish, but I personally feel it will hinder not advance their ambitions .

The dealership locally in Shrewsbury , seem to be doing well with a Kubota .
Yes, but it’s practically the same team on the same site as the new Holland dealer that was there previously and they had an excellent reputation and as many farmers do buisness on long term trust and relationships it’s not surprising they’ve had a lot of support, indeed there are even rumours that they are doing more work on new Holland’s than the new dealer.
I put their success down to long term loyalty built on their reputation not on Kubota as a brand allthough no doubt their reputation will have made them an excellent choice for kubota.

IMO they should have left KV in their origional colours as it's somewhat of a trademark.

In these days of people being fussy about colours and people wanting specific colours like metallic black, it might have been an idea to have changed to a less hi viz council coloured machine for their Ag range.

Do I take from this kv ploughs are orange in the uk?

Still red in Ireland

Not meaning to offend anyone, but I'd take a lot of convincing on them. A neighbour has them and he's had a belly full of trouble. But he keeps buying them because they are cheap and a move elsewhere will cost him quite a bit of money.

The local Deutz dealer also does Kubota, so I'm not sure how much longer Kubota will allow them to do both.
Assuming Kubota can offer a range of bigger heavier tractors soon.

Talk is there will be a Kubota range running up to 300hp in the next two or three years.
Take a look at the latest Versatile model..The Nemesis.....suggest it might be the new Kubota 8000 series soon

I'm surprised they are still doing both brands. I can't find it now but at the time they posted it on Facebook for all to see (2016 or 2017), the local dealer down here had what I'd call a fairly demanding letter from deutz telling them to either give up the Kubota immediately or they were to loose the deutz franchise. Having been Kubota for some considerable time and not that long taken deutz back on alongside the Kubota so deutz left again. Having been a single branch dealer for 30 odd years they have now very recently opened 2 new branches so I'm guessing Kubota are pushing the money in to get the dealer coverage

They have been Deutz for a long time, and are quite big in ground-care where they have been selling Kubota for decades.
Not sure how it will pan out for them, but they seem to be pushing Kubota more than Deutz just now.

Our local dealer is still selling Kubota and Deutz and has not been under any pressure to drop one as far as I am aware.

Some amount of issues with tractors, scandals the price f them they should be able to do 10k hrs trouble free, pathetic im so pleased i dont need new tractors what a nightmare.
I can't disagree.

I've not normally been looking at new tractors, but am having a look now and am trying to keep my mind open.
I am keen on Valtra, but I'm guessing Kubota will be a lot lot cheaper.

Just think, you'll be able to get these troublesome machines when they are 20 years old.
Something to look forward to :ROFLMAO:
