Kubota

Seems strange for Kubota to be going into business with Russians (read about the directors of Rostelmash / Buhler)

But if Versatile eventually get sold off to Kubota then things start to make sense...?

I don't know, that's why I ask.

One dealer said that they had left them KV colours for now in countries where KV was very dominant. But that they would change as time went on.

He could just be talking for the sake of talking.

I've asked that question and been told it depends on the market. If you go to Agritechnica - everything will be on display in orange and it will be available in orange. However the KV brand is strong, so they would be mad to dump it. So will be a slow (if ever) changeover in the UK. But might be different in other countries.

It’s a great way for Kubota to get into the arable tractor market in North America. Up till now Kubota had a good presence there but only really in the “ranch” market and mom and pop essentially big lawn tractors, maybe commercial mowers etc.

For Kubota the Versatile name is a great brand, instantly recognisable, has a “big” tractor pedigree etc. etc. It’s a reasonably low risk way for them to try and enter that market.

If it plays out then who knows
