Glad I've come across this thread. The FIL has a field he said was bad with docks. Was over last week to see it 5 acre crop 3 feet tall. Theres bad and then there was this the likes I've never seen before.

Out of interest, has anyone used Pixarro (fluroxpyr + arylex) on docks? I have a couple of litres in store, having been poked into me by a serviced agronomist a couple of years ago. On paper it looks ideal, but no recc for grassland use....

Crikey! I remember a field like that got like that at home, in the days before glyphosate.
I would say it wants a beast of a topper through it first, then look at spraying regrowth, whatever chem you choose to use.

I'd keep it for a weedy cereal field & it's proper label use. I'm not aware of any work being done on grassland with it - it's just too expensive vs the older alternatives.

years ago i was left with a 1/2 acre's worth of ally spray in the tank. i decided to spray it out on a bit of rough grazing (1/4 acre) which was dock infested. well it did a superb job and the docks didn't come back for a lot of years.obviously that can't be done nowadays but shows how some chems can give unexpected results.

Nothing unexpected about that- its the same active that was in cimarron....

Try hard enough with ally mind and you will kill the grass. I've seen that done.

MCPA is not that great on docks anyway, I have never used it alone, always in mixture with other things.
