Think it was a herringbone and can't remember if it was fecked :)
Oh boy that had done alot of revolutions. Installed early nineies.
He Milked 500 cows before selling herd, then decided to milk again when youngsters started calving. Seems a lot of money although Various residential properties and wind turbine let would inflate the price.

Looks a nice unit.. how many are they milking at present?? Plenty of milk buyers??
Would milk twice as many without breaking sweat, was on a Nestle contract which for long enough was the premium contract for the area not sure if that’s still the case. Some real units kicking around on the market the now.

Main milk buyer in the area is Caledonian cheese (Lactalis in Stranraer), there's also First Milk/Nestle (Girvan), Arla and Yew Tree.

I think they were milking about 200, the farmer at Claunch has recently built himself a new house at a nearby smallholding (to retire to I think), there was a daughter and son in law supposed to be taking over the running of the farm but the son in law has his own business as a mechanic/welder.

Do people just not want to live in Scotland? Some of these look like tidy and productive units but they are staggeringly cheap.
You’d wonder, I’ve never known as many units on the market especially of the quality on offer not to mention the ones not publicity marketed but on agents books. Banks and next generation not wanting to work all the hours
