Then machinery, electrical goods, cars, clothes, fuel etc would all increase in price.
No government will risk upsetting the general public in order to save a few pig or beef farmers.
all the ex pats when they come backJust a question, who is going to do the shitty jobs like intensive hens and pigs when you don’t have many Poles any more?
Everything is too cheap apart from houses and cars.If we value cheap food and white goods over the value of our environment and the future of the planet we are in a LOT of trouble
This has to change and if that means things get expensive then so be it
I would argue EVERYTHING is far too cheap now, maybe if everything cost more we would all consider much more carefully what we ACTUALLY need ?

I don't disagree that things need to change on an environmental front, but people will generally take the easy and less expensive options.

I take chicken muck from two poultry farms .
I use that instead of bought in fertilizers
Just got me thinking , why dont our arable farms keep poultry and do the same, instead of importing chicken
Which shows a case of double standards.
The electorate aren’t as keen on environmental issues as they like to claim. They want it.....but won’t put their hand in their pocket as they believe it’s for the government to sort.
I know what ur saying when I see the amount of plastic tat toys my kids get. There is a lot of wastage but if u said to low earners who are struggling that everything needs to get more expensive then they might not be too impressed. No doubt someone will know tell me that it’s their own fault their on the bread line better off on the dole and so onIf we value cheap food and white goods over the value of our environment and the future of the planet we are in a LOT of trouble

Saline solutionwhats all that white scummy sh*t that comes out of supermarket bacon when you fry it
Donald won't like that.oh i did - as I say I don't think we should import / export cereals either unless local / domestic is not available
we are screwing up this planet rather nicely with this nonsense
Maybe it would be a good lesson in producing goods / food etc for available markets vs just producing regardless
simple way to do this is put Huge tax on fuel for shipping and airfreight etc
Of course you can, just go to a country that has them available, I'd have thought that obvious. Or wait 6 months and they might be available here.No if it was choice then why cant I buy a Hormone implanted Steak from the USA
You must live in a different world than I do.Cars are far too cheap given they are one of the biggest environmental vandals ........ houses as well
if EVERYTHING cost more we would consider need much more carefully and recycle / reuse / extend lifecycle more
It's going to take tax / law / government to make this happen as despite everyone saying they want change and the environment should be priority it certainly isn't current reality and we are pretty much ALL hypocrites
Cos everyone in the Charente eats cow meat, and jolly good it is.It’s a good question
Maybe you will know the answer in a year or two?
It baffles me why all out fat limmi bulls end up in Italy
The exchange rate doesn't work for them
They don't feel welcome anymore
You will control the numbers (there was a vote in June 16)
