How does having a range of incomes remove one from economic reality?

It suggests to me that Pete is intimately aware of economic reality and has managed his finances accordingly.
I have multiple incomes.

If I lived in the UK would that mean I’d be rich and worry free? That would be a point in favour of actually living there if that’s true....

That one gets easier the further you go through it. I’ve nearly finished. Only taken me about 6 months!!!! I have been reading another during harvest alongside it which is an easier read and can dip in and out of.
I too have found Call of The Reed. Warbler a demanding read, especially as I am very prone to falling asleep once I sit down in the evening.

However, I did get a chance to speak with Charles Massey following Groundswell this year. Having now met him and talked about the book too, I found it easier to understand where he is coming from and also how he views things in his mind. (I did tell him it was a challenging read - he simply shrugged his shoulders and said, "yes but there's a lot of interesting stories in there")

He is obviously a very deep thinking person and tries to relate many of his anecdotes with a psychological angle that leaves me asking the big WHY? all the time.

Geez, what is it with people being jealous of others foresight to multi task, invest etc...

Is trying to get a little grip on the adverse pressures we all face through diversification really so bad if it can generate the alleged passive income ?

To me, people who bitch about it through nothing more than jealousy, should IMHO, stop moaning about it - get off their arses and do something about it for themselves like others are / have been doing in order to have this.

None of us are born closed books, but you can allow yourself to be if one choses - some however, look beyond today and try to make things happen for themselves in the future, which to me is the difference between leaders and followers.

If you are in any job and cannot make it pay what you desire, either step out or change your direction and add some diversification - then you can have the same benefits as others - but it is a choice.
