The EU led by Merkel have never ever wanted to do a deal that lets us leave properly. Recently Merkel has been making the decisions and I don't want to be in a union with the Germans in charge of us.

Why some of you want to be in the failing corrupt non democratic EU, I don't know. It will fail soon and we are better out before it does. Far too many countries are being ruined by the EU, look at the unemployment in Spain, Greece, Portugal etc. The whole thing is to make Germany great again with the French tagging along.

We voted to leave, that was the question, there was no mention of any deals on the ballot paper.

You're right. It's all our (remainers') fault. For not 'getting behind it' or 'believing enough'. (Maybe they'll suggest taking a few of us out for shooting as an example to the rest.)
Its not your fault you merely answered a questing just as I did, its the remainers in that big shed up in London's fault, they have been in charge, it was remainers that decided to hold the ref, remainers that said they would abide by the result, remainers that voted to enact art 50, remainers that failed to vote for mays deal.
these remainers have been in power for decades so of Corse its their fault, nobody else has been in power to do anything so its all down to them,
I suspect they are proud of themselves but quite frankly I am disgusted with those remainers for the mess they have made regarding the UK's relationship with the EU

The UK and EU negotiated an NI only backstop which Theresa May almost signed off before the DUP objected in Dec17 a Canada plus deal was on offer for GB. No sign of germany or the EU not wanting to do a deal just UK acting like a stroppy teenager that doesn't know what it wants.

Yes, May and the EU proposed a deal in which there was a backstop which kept some or all of the UK in the EU until such times as the EU decided to let us leave.

That really was the EU letting us leave...….. NOT. The EU have every intention to keep us in by any means they can.

A good interview with Jeremy Hunt.

Yes leave.... GB could have been out by now future trading relationship sorted

Boris's plan keeps NI following EU single markets rules without any say so what's the difference?

Unless your saying Boris is a remainer now?

May's proposal was that NI stayed in with no accountability and no possibility to leave without the EU say so.

Boris's proposal was that NI stayed in, but subject to approval by the people of NI and subject to regular reviews by the people of NI and which gave democratic accountability to the people of NI and allowed them and the not the EU to decide when to leave.

Huge difference.

And do you seriously think leaving the EU will make an inch of difference in the fate of the UK if the EU did collapse. In or out of the EU, the UK is part of Europe and it's fate is, and for the last two millennia been inextricably tied to it. So unless the population of the UK is evacuated to a new home in the USA we are stuck with it, and whatever their fate is, is also ours.

Barnier openly admitted at the beginning of negotiations that his job was to make leaving so hard that we would be forced to vote again (and that in turn it would prevent other countries from wanting to leave). Personally I'm appalled at how our younger generation are so willing to give up there and there children's and my child's democratic freedoms. There's a reason the world is revolting about imperialism and federalism!

That was then when most MPs were going to honour the referendum. Mrs May turned down the Canada deal because she wanted to stay in the EU, she is a remainer and if you don't believe me, who did she sit next to when she went into the Commons? I'll give you a clue, he wears hush puppies, smokes small cigars and is an arch remainer.

Yes the godfather of the house....

What's your point about may being a remainer?

All the leavers ran away from the job of PM because they knew they couldn't deliver on the lies that theyd already told

Yes the EU like to chose who the PM is in their fiefdom. Italy had an election, then the EU said he wasn't suitable and sent another chap. Naturally the Italians surrendered. Do you think our population will stand for it if Bercow is made PM by Brussels? I hope not.

Really, and who did they send instead? Sounds like the Daily Express talking.

It's still the convention that the EU can only negotiate with the Prime Minister of the UK, or his selected team. They have made that clear to both the Labour and Lib/Dem leaders.

And if it's true that the Speaker has had secret talks with an Italian MEP regarding Brexit, he should be relived of his duties forthwith. .

And who can remember the ''Father of the House'' with his brothel creepers, managing to squeeze into a small sports car, but being unable to get out again.

Put up a direct quote from him where he actually said that.
