So what is different to the deal done by the previous PM? Is it any more likely to be enacted? It is already too late to get this deal into statute before the brexit deadline and my guess is that it is just a tactic to avoid the Benn Act and to jump ship without a deal at the end of the month. He must know that the DUP will not accept this as it stands and at the last throw of the dice.

Let's face the facts - the only reason the DUP are so powerful is due to Theresa May, remember her!,
going against advice given to her, and calling a general election which resulted with the present
situation with the DUP holding sway. Until Corbyn gets into power, them TM will probably be the worst

Just because she couldn't get a brexit deal through Parliament? I think not. Who got us into this mess in the first place? Oh yes, he's kept a very low profile since, apart from to publicise his book hasn't he. Cameron of course, with Farage and Boris's help.

It's the same old deal, but at the request of HMG the EU have dropped things like environmental and workers rights from the agreement and moved them to the political declaration. This makes them non binding if you are talking to the ERG, but probably would end up as conditions of an FTA with Europe. But NI will now remain aligned to the EU on agriculture, veterinary, Vat on all goods/services etc. The NI assembly will have a 4 yearly option on this by simple majority. And the EU and UK will put money into PEACE PLUS, presumably to try and humour the DUP?

well, looks like a good old bodge up, where every body can say, they have got what they wanted. Is it good, bad, indifferent ? time will tell. Of course it has to get through parliament, and no doubt, there will be a good old shouting match, with claims of this, or that, how terrible it is etc, but, it was mp's that tied boris's hands, the eu took advantage of that, and who actually thinks the eu will give someone else a better deal ? What the EU should now say, is no extension, I expect a lot of countries will be pushing for just that, and correctly, any extension will result in exactly the same balls up as the rest. So if they say that, who will believe them ? I am certain a lot of mp's think they can secure a better deal, so, presumably on sat, a huge number will vote no, will it be enough to scupper the deal ? And what happens then ? hard Brexit ?
Then what will the 'no's' say ? It wasn't their fault, it was someone elses .
The reallity is, we need to co-operate with europe, and vice-versus, that doesn't deter from new trade deals with other countries, we are, after all, a large affluent market, countries will want to deal with us.
And if I am not mistaken, the rules and tariffs are to be agreed in the 'transistion' period, this is likely to be sorted out by businesses, civil servants etc, with the aim of keeping imports/exports moving, and to the advantage (i hope) of all.

I am rather more hopeful about the impact of the proposed deal than I had expected. On the surface I think it looks much better than Mrs Mays bad deal and much better than the prospect of either no deal or indefinite extensions. I don’t know how Boris has pulled it off, but it could be the seemingly impossible have your cake and eat it Brexit

Time to get it done, MP's should bite the bullet and vote for the deal. If boris can get the votes without the DUP all the better, kill two birds with one stone. Not the best of deals but a deal for the middle ground.
