No I realised just how hypocritical the human race is when it come to animal cruelty. For example being hypocritical scum and calling those that eat dogs and cats monsters and demanding them be jailed while they themselves funds the suffering of billions of animals. Hopefully an alien life lands on earth and wiped this cancer known as humanity of the face of the earth.
There is a huge amount of hypocrisy in the world but in general I would consider it is much less prevalent in agriculture than the wider society.
Many farmers are still 'jacks/ jills of all trades, with an understanding of different views and the complex relationship between all systems, something all your posts have clearly lacked.
It is clear from your insistence on referring to the animals on our farms as slaves that you, quite understandably, lack the understanding of the relationship between a farmer and their stock.
Most farmers dedicate as much, if not more, time, money and energy on their stock as any person would on a pet and would probably be more concerned about the conditions some cats and dogs were kept in than whether they were going to be eaten [if killed humanely].
For most of us, farming is about helping nature to be more efficient and providing the things we need. Within that, there is probably much more scope for nature in livestock systems than those growing crops. The most sustainable system would be small mixed farming using manure to grow crops and chickens to control pests etc. which is precisely the thing you seem to be aiming your vitriol at.
Edited to add;
When I was young, I loaded up the animals for slaughter because I was told to.
After my father died, I had to go through a deep philosophical discussion with myself as to whether I should do it. Having considered all the logical conclusions to all the alternatives I concluded there was no better way for the animals to exist and I have continued happily.
This brings things back to David. 's original question. @Veganguy , if you don't wish to address any other points in this thread, please tell us how the world would be if you could mould it to your desire.
