Recommend me a trailer

Do you put cattle in them out of interest? Using them dual purpose to maximum efficiency in my opinion ifor Williams don’t stand it at all. Sides pushed out with 5 cows loaded within a load or two. Then with decks for sheep nothing but a pain, and loading angle of ramp dreadful, complies within a degree or two of legalities a few years ago, may have changed, but shocking that was allowed in my opinion
Neither can I ?

Ifor Williams
millions of farmers can’t be wrong
Last ifor trailer i had lasted 3 hours , biggest pile of crap i have ever had sent i straight back . Floor was not fixed to the axle, could3nt close the back door and sheep deviding gates didnt fit. Never have one again!
IF THE FLOOR WAS FASTENED TO THE AXLE IT WOULD HAVE NO SUSPENSION !!!!!
Ha ha, meant to say the floor wasn't sercured to the joists correctly , im sure you knew whst a i meant. ??

I like Graham Edwards as its 6’3 wide compared to ifor 5’10 - but nearly £1000 quid more!!, hadn’t heard of Gamic until reading this,

waiting on price for Nugent but looks from the pic above to be welded poorly or is that just a bad picture

No decks so I’m assuming your moving mainly cattle could you buy one for behind the tractor they are safe will last times longer and won’t wreck your 4wd or you could sell it and get a car
Need to go to Market - 100 + miles round trip so build quality paramount

My thoughts;

Houghton would be the best cattle trailer but very expensive.
Gamic is the best for sheep because of the hydraulic deck, I'm not sure if it's worth the premium for a straight trailer.

There isn't a huge amount of difference in the rest. I certainly wouldn't choose for the sake of a few quid. Waiting time could be an issue if you are in a hurry.

I think my top choice would be Falcon, built very well but heavy.
I would consider Bateson for the benefit of the front compartment;

Nugent would probably have a slight edge on Graham Edwards and Indespension with Ifor being probably my last choice.

It would depend on how you rank the importance of strength, ride, catches, sump tanks, time for delivery etc.
They all seem pretty good at making them to your own spec if given time.

Graham Edwards sheep deck are just brilliant...drop a load of cattle off...and you can get the decks out in less than a min...I stuffed mine with cattle and they never bulge out like the Ifor often does..Buy the best

What a load of rubbish...the best on the market by far...do you know how to use them...come with me for a day...folk are amazed at the speed of tune around be it pulling out or winding in

When we looked at them, admittedly some years ago, it struck me that the decks would have to be pretty clean before you could roll them up.

Maybe they’ve changed since?

Only time I’ve used them is when I’ve helped a few farmers at the mart to shove the decks up cos they wouldn’t wind up
The gamic decks are by far the best
(Or houghton)

Covered in crap...never oiled along the sides..badly maintained comes to mind...if you don't look after it ….it wont look after you, don't judge it by some farmers at the mart
