Depends how often you want to change your trailer!
Buy once , and buy a Gamic !
Last Ifor did well over 25 years here
Like many decisions they are all pretty good
When I bought my new trailer last year the deciding factors were price, reliability & availability
I called round a few dealers on a Friday & had the trailer the next Monday

I doubt I will buy another trailer in my lifetime, (unless I live to 125) but IW would not be my choice. Saw a Gamic in Ludlow Mkt last year and spoke with the owner, (Not neilo!) who rated it highly. The long delay was his issue...

I feel that IW are very much built to low end budget nowadays. Rivets pop, Bolts undo, etc etc. Some of it is quality control issues I suspect, others are cheaper materials in the product.

Our old IW is C.40 years old, I did the bearings and the rear tailgate pivots in 1995 and it was the main trailer (until I bought a new one in 2005), and the old girl is still soldiering on as the trailer that I dont bother to wash out!!

No decks so I’m assuming your moving mainly cattle could you buy one for behind the tractor they are safe will last times longer and won’t wreck your 4wd or you could sell it and get a car

And way more expensive ?

The hydraulic deck would add a bit of cost these days, but the OP doesn’t want that.
He would however have a proper ‘slam door’ as a divider, like most cattle wagons have, and sides that didn’t bow out after a couple of cows had turned round in it.;)

I recently took my trailer up to Gamic to be serviced, seeing as the brakes had got a bit iffy after 7 years. It was a new experience to me, as I’ve never had an Ifor that wasn’t shagged out by the time the brakes needed doing.?

I was offered £700 less than I paid for it, if I wanted to p/ex it for a shinier one (I don’t, mine’s like new again now). £100 a year in depreciation and £70/yr in running costs (after the cost of this service). That’ll do.?

Of the trailers I’ve had turn up for rams here, the Nugent looks well built too.

Last ifor trailer i had lasted 3 hours and sent it straight bac , biggest pile of crap i have ever had. Always had them before that and were good teailers but using cheap materials now!. Floor was not fixed to the axle, couldn't close the back door and sheep deviding gates didnt fit. Never have one again!
IF THE FLOOR WAS FASTENED TO THE AXLE IT WOULD HAVE NO SUSPENSION !!!!!
