they still dont know yet , maybe first live sale but they need to be very careful as defra will be all over it with any issues , they were talking about penning every other pen so vendors can stay in shed at viewing ,and people only going ringside to bid , which means any lambs that get impulse bids could suffer , everyone wants the pen leaders , but sellers rely on them to sell the rest .
could be online with 3 week return if animal has any faults (as wont be inspected) but in reality if i (in SW) bought and collected a ram from scotland im going to have trouble returning it if say overshot or bad feet ,(facebook pictures should have been on hard standing not on grass)
Then you have the 5 mile limit in wales , i know business is different ,but could still be difficult
Then where do sellers sleep if from afar , all hotels b/b shut , market cafe shut , except maybe takeaway, bit grim if travelling a long way . Are buyers going to travel with same issues .
Add to the story a lot are selling privately so reducing the catalogue daily , i would be a bit pssd if i was looking at a particular animal advertised on the website to travel and not present as already sold .
Going to be a bldy minefield all round
H&H have been doing sales online, so they must have sorted out all the ifs and buts.
Unless the country is operating as close to normal as possible, its really hard to see any of these sales to go ahead in the ring. As you say, there's no hotels or B&B's... logistically it will be impossible
