That’s true. Apart from my only two fields of winter barley , Everything’s very green .Having driven from here in North Yorkshire to Coldstream and back yesterday, I can safely say that, apart from the odd field of w barley, unless the weather improves not much will be cut until August and harvest will stretch well into September.
Our next problem here is that in the current cool, damp, sunless conditions, fields of WO have caught up, and are about to overtake, WB.Apart from my only two fields of winter barley , Everything’s very green .

No, dick dastardly and muttleyPursued by you dressed as the Hooded Claw?
could be timely but I for one glad I did not miss it out , our sept/early oct crops look green, and clean, ears filling well ,clear of ear troubles as yet .A few days later combining is bearable for the yield benefits .Weve been 4 times on most albeit with older cheaper product plus foliar feeds and at this stage am not regretting it. though a month or so ago was starting to think maybe should hold of or held of and have we done right as a lot of folks were advising spend less /dont do it as well below average yields are in the offing ..Yes they are ,but not on the crops established before the mid oct deluges. Dont think we will be combining w barley in july nor w wheat in early august which is a month away from thinking about it unless we get a heatwave. As for sp barley of which we have too much think similar time to the ww though it may get ripened with a can ,the last time I grew it was ready around the start of ww but that was 30 odd years agoWould it yet be timely for someone to start a "Who is still glad they didn't bother with a T3" thread..
Should have done but for equipment failure.Did you start yesterday on the 10th @bankrupt ?
