The USA has already specifically ruled out any trade deal with the UK if the UK breaks the Irish border deal.

What utter nonsense. The US has not said this.

Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives said this is what she would do. However she is not in power and has no ability to bring it about. It is just hot air.

The pity is, some fools believe it is fact as that is the way the BBC reported it.

It's an aspiration from someone with no power to bring it about.

Lots of countries in the EU are "breaking" EU laws or diktat, dont see the EU doing bugger all about any of them, Hungary and Poland currently, lots of countries breaking the financial rules and many lies about their situation before joining and the EU turned a blind eye to it all.
Is Boris a clown at times, yes he is BUT at least he has the balls to stand up and be counted, at least currently, which is more than can be said for May, Cameron, Brown, Blair or Major.

As self elected leader of myself I can surely write my own law that allows me to go over the top of national law and exempt me from paying taxes if I dislike them (y)
If you own some property you can declare independence and do what you like, there are drawbacks though one of which is you may get invaded and nobody will give a dam

I seem to recall frequent use of the adage, "nothing is agreed until everything is agreed".

What has been signed is a basic framework for the disentangling of the UK from the EU, much of which is subject to interpretation but based on the principle that good faith from both sides wanting to do a deal, would mean much of it would never be needed.
The fact that the EU has withdrawn several options which would have aided agreement undermined the good faith that was required.
There are always cases of all governments stretching the rules. I am just pleased that in this case it is for the benefit of the Country rather than individual politicians.
As someone recently pointed out, the way Blair , Starmer & Co. attempted to deal with the EU and undermine negotiations, would be a criminal offence, close to treachery in many countries.

1. You are talking about a different kind of immigration here to what was legal movement of EU citizens.

2. The rest of your comments are totally irrelevant to the current debate on our negotiations with the EU and our apparent lack of good faith in threatening to renege on a treaty the exact same government signed only a few months ago to great triumphalism.

John Major signed a deal that was sxxt for the UK, no consultation, which is part of the reason we are leaving. Teressa May signed a Treaty that was sxxt for the UK, no consultation, which is part of the reason we are reneging.

If the EU want's to build a Border between N and S Ireland and renege on the Good Friday Agreement, let them get on with it.

They carry on supplying mainland Europe as normal while our shelves and car dealers become rather sparsely populated. Plus it will be the final nail in the coffin of British industry with many of the existing players relocating to The Republic of Ireland or mainland Europe.

Why? What do YOU think might happen?

So where exactly are the surplus cars going? We're there biggest market. Same for veg. What about Irish beef? We're there biggest importer. French Fishermen will struggle when they can't fish our waters at all, and fishmongers will struggle when they won't let us land our catch. Tit for tat I'm afraid will never work on either side. We both need each others markets or there wouldn't of been a Union in the first place.

We've already seen Companies announcing they will pull out of the EU due to stringent policies. Their are to many individual political agendas for the sticking tape that is holding the EU together to hold.

Trade talks with the US aren't due to resume before April 2021. Even if a deal had been stuck, the House of Representatives has to sign off on it, which was not going to happen under democrat control, particularity with the lobbying of both parties from strong Irish American interests.
