Ratchet straps. Cordless tools. The internet.

The last one particularly. No-one under about 40 has any idea how much information used to be like gold dust. Where you could buy certain supplies. Who could fix bits of machinery. Now you go online and start googling. Within 5 minutes you have options from all over the country and the other side of the world.

Incredible what they allow you to do. If you had shown one to a farmer 50 years ago they would have burnt you as a witch!

Er, not necessarily. My father and his brothers might have borrowed it from you, and taken it apart to see how it worked, though. They would all have wanted one, if they could afford it :)

More repurposed than invented, but the syringe and catheter as stomach tube kit for lambs has to be well up the list.

EID and all the farm management software is amazing, too.
