Bale twine made of plastic is a bloody blight on the countryside. If you ask me the stuff should be banned and the NFU should find a supplier of sisal and champion it's use. Fudging plastic twine finds it's way everywhere.
I promise you would not say the same if you had used Sisal!
I know what you are saying , but the stuff would rotat the first sign of damp , if the rodents had not eaten it first.
We bought a stack of straw from a neighbour once, we had to rebale over half of it, apparently there had been a threshing issue and every mouse in Bedfordshire had taken up residence:confused:

Fudging plastic twine is everywhere though; you can find it in fields years after it found it's way there. There has to be an environmentally friendly version that will stick being wet for 12 months before rotting?

Every bale I've ever opened contained plastic 'offcuts' of twine, there must be millions of these lying around the countryside. Plastic that never degrades is a blight on the countryside and should be fudging banned. Black sheeting and black wrap would be next.
