How did it reverse, the discs twisted to other hand ?? Didn't know that
The beam was hinged at the back. When lifted, you pulled a rope and the weight on the top link would swing the beam across. The legs were on vertical pivots, with a crank that angled them in the corrrect direction. The tailwheel swung across with the beam. Here is a view of the plough from above. How did it reverse, the discs twisted to other hand ?? Didn't know that
Would think it's a 285 in the background of the first picture, rather than a 185...
There is no 185 in the above first picture...All the 135s we had in Malawi in the '70s were round winged. A bit of disc ploughing, MF 185 in the background, Eicher Goodearth from India with bench seats on the mudguard in middle, single cylinder engine.

Sorry, did not notice that it was the US built 275 which came to us in a box. Same engine as the 185. The British built 185 had a Yugoslav built Perkins, while the US built 275 had a British built Perkins. Mostly used the 185 for ploughing, and I did not check the small photo as I posted it.There is no 185 in the above first picture...
