Just googles electric diverter switches and there are quite a few to choose from at various price points. Any recommendations? issues to be aware of, reliability etc?

Plan was to put it on one of the three phases of my Gaia turbine to heat immersion tank. Haven't found anything 3 phase as that would be preferred.

Getting the pool ready for summer? 🤣
Just found one called Solic 200 made by Earthwise Products. It has a 10yr warranty, most other seem to only have 1 or 2. Will have a word with sparky tomorrow.

need to work out how to get the digger in there and dig the hole first but yes, in time that’s the plan!

ill watch your progress, looking at 36 kWh here

What the elements on too much because of the heat loss and then overheating the diverted? Reason I ask is that I was going to install one.
Not sure, it's in the airing cupboard with pipes from solid fuel Rayburn, heat exchanger to central heating and all the other hot water pipework so possibly just can't expel the heat required to cool itself off quick enough.

I've had this up and running for a couple of weeks, connected directly to the immersion in thermal store. It's connected to one phase of my 11kw, 3ph turbine so putting in about 3-3.5kw at optimum windspeed. Noticeable difference in the use of oil, which only kicks in when tank drops below 45 degrees. I didn't fit a meter or monitor initially but it's driving me crazy so sparky's on his way back to put one on. I'll have more accurate data then.

Ooh thanks.

ive emailed them tonight already for a price. Not got my head around how it knows when to turn on, is it CT leads around the main?

def putting a meter in here, keen to know how much I’m using / savin!

Yes just clips round the tail and a feed in from the panel, seems a simple setup and didn't take long to do. The meter I'm fitting will show real time output as well and running total, think it's about £60.
