No never seen a independent laboratory analysis of nutrients or NV for slag from you.

You said you have sent some away to be analysis but never seen the results.

Now it's Limex, another by product, your selling
Wrong again
I can get lime if one of my Customers want some, im not fused if the do or don't . I don't give a monkeys which they use I either ,can get any of those mentioned. The tests I do are for my own benefit which I am happy to share with others .
I'm surprised no one else seems to test fields on a regular basses to see the results of what they have applied, maybe they do and keep it quiet

But like I said Cotswold lime has worked best on my land, never sold a load
Limex is showing good results , I have sold one load to a niebour to help him out
I put a lot of slag down last year but not retested yet

A lot do test themselves plus farming connect offer soil testing on farms.
Cheapest input with the greatest effect

You'd be saying it was wonderful if you was selling it .... ha ha

This is the stuff. Soil sampled every field this year so I'll do it again next year where we've used it.

Watch this space :ROFLMAO:

But still no analysis of the wonderful slag?

Help him out 🙄

I've fallen for the fert reps chat that you can't easily get decent gound lime anymore. He was saying it was screenings and had low reactivity. I've agreed to used bagged stuff this year.

£119 a ton delivered and 125kg of that is equivalent to 1000kg of ground lime (apparently). So that equates to ground lime at £14.5 a ton.

Cheshire

If you’re from Cheshire then some of the best lime in the U.K. is in the next county. Your rep has indeed got you to fall for it.

And 125kg of prilled lime is not equivalent to 1000kg of ground Aglime. It would take 1000kg of prilled to be equivalent.

Prilled lime CANNOT and WILL NOT work better than good quality ground lime . It is EXACTLY the same stuff.

So what's the NV?
As a by-product of the steel industry, Ag Slag provides a sustainable alternative to other liming materials, providing slow release of nutrients such as phosphates, calcium, manganese and other trace minerals, providing essential nutrients for farming today while managing resources for tomorrow. Along with Tarmac’s entire product range, Ag Slag is certified to BES 6001 for responsible sourcing and manufacture. Ag Slag performance • Neutralising value of typically 50% - improving productivity of acidic soil • Provides a release mechanism for soil-locked phosphates • An effective source of hydrated lime • Produces thick, verdant swards on grassland pastures and increases the palatability of grass • Boosts clover growth increasing the quantity of available nitrogen • Improves general well-being of livestock • Suitable for use on organic farms • Safe to handle and easy to spread • Factory conditioned to optimise particle size and reduce windbourne loss • Applied using a conventional spreader therefore avoiding generation of airborne dust • Enhances the permeability of soil leading to improved air and water circulation • The slow release of nutrients enables Ag Slag to provide prolonged effective treatment making it unique in its class.

Its definitely gone down in quality recently

10 years it was like a smoke screen when the spreader went down the field. It was all dust.

Now you have a job to see where he's been. It looks more like grit.

Next door are having bulk lime next week so I'll put 100 g of each in a jar of water and see how long they take to dissolve.

I know what slag is thanks.

It doesn't disappear as dust because it's heavy as hell!
An artic load is a small pile.

I was wonder was NV your analysis cam back as.
