Wierd phobias and paranoia can definitely be passed down to small children. If they see their parents petrified of human interaction and germs, constantly washing hands, wearing masks etc, it is likely they will develop the same irrational phobias and be petrified of dirt and germs, and their immune systems will suffer.
I worked for many months in a covid testing unit and wore a mask in that setting, but hardly ever wear one now, I made sure my children were not denied interaction with their friends at any point, were not locked in the house, I discourage the use of hand sanitisers. If you're over 80, or vulnerable through illness etc sure wear a mask, hide away, whatever, although my 94 year old grandfather was adamant that he would much rather keep seeing all of us than be isolated so we kept visiting throughout the past year and am extremely glad I did. Everyone else should get a grip and concentrate on building a healthy immune system. We can't hide away for ever.

Well said. It's lunacy thinking you can avoid any exposure to the virus by any means. I don't believe there's a single person in the country who hasn't been exposed to the virus. Hence if not dead already, they have antibodies, which are far preferable to have than the artificial sort in a vaccine.

Ah, But I have an excuse! having discovered Bandanas in this crisis I now wear them to protect me from the sun. I am allergic to the uv and have struggled over the years but I discover something new that helps me most summers!!

Mmm the assumption based on prevalence data is that you double the number of positive tests to get an idea of those who have had it.
If you assume a similar size first and second wave you come to around 20 million cases.
The number exposed to a virus is obviously going to be higher than the number of cases , that number is hard to speculate on, also depends what you mean by exposed.
Could easily make a case for it being double I guess, but would depend on exposure definition etc

Glad I never believed in any return to normal after 21/6, or this nonsense would surprise me

Of course if you decide to ignore them now you are no better than the maskless scum, who just decided it was nonsense 15 months sooner
They are going for the kids now. A mild sniffle will definitely be COVID and you will die unless jabbed. I was going to ask how stupid they think most people are but I think they have a good idea.
