Is a sumo stubble rake a good machine? Are others better?
Looking to get a chit of wheat and sterile broom before Dd winter barley.
Or is a light pass with express a better option?

I used to have one, sold it two years ago because i felt it wasnt doing enough to be worthwhile and just DD last year. lots of volunteers and increasing broom so that was a mistake. Just bought an oldish Claydon rake and think its better , vibrates in the soil more and you keep it down whilst turning which makes it easier and tidier. the claydon is 7.5 m but lighter and easier to pull then a 6m strake, the strake tine bends very easily if turning and I felt it needs a more competent operator.
