The straw is knocking up behind our walker combine even with the concave right open and 900 drum speed so I dread to think what it would be like today behind a axial flow......match sticks I would imagine.......been there done that got the tea shirt a few times, once with the Johnny quire but I was too young and green to get stressed about it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

wednesday

got up...drove to bearing supplies nr norwich just as they opened......got a new chain...£14   .....shorta diesal so on way back stopped and got some at a little garage and 'treated' myself to a costa vending machine 'vannila cappacino'.....it was horrible but in a very comforting way😁

back at farm....fettled admiral then took gator down field to fit new chain.....tried the auger first with mole grips....GOOD NEWS it turned easily so no obstruction(y).......fitted chain....BAD NEWS....the tensioner wouldn't go back....it was to big:scratchhead:......back to yard....some calf pen kerung and fashioned a smaller one;).......back to field.....still to big:scratchhead:......cue saw/bodging til it did😗......bit worried though cos original tensioner had 2 bolts to stop it turning but my bodge only had room for one:banghead:

back at yard started tipping trailer....i'd done tyre pressures on trailer but forgot to top up back axle oil:rolleyes:....other little niggly things but eventually down field to try my repair:inpain:.....eased lever in gently.....belt groaned then went #phew.....i suppose it had to start up full...it was nae bother after that:love:....anyhoo i got finished ...the only other drama was mcenroe miss behaving whilst i was trying to tip....fortunately mrs spin was nearby....one sharp word from her and .mcenroe legged it😁😁.....so once again having got started/running smoothly i've finished:unsure:....i'm relieved though....total cost of repairs £30....10 gallons of fuel and field looks a whole lot better than it did a week ago.....just as important no costly breakdowns which always worry me due my mechanical weakness

interesting what ppl find 'difficult'....i get stressed/depressed but never think about things being 'difficult'....it's just 'the way it is':scratchhead:....i mean i'm just back from putting the admiral back to bed cos she fell out.....whilst i've been trying to catch up i've been giving her odd sleeping pill.....it doesn't help her though.....back on vit d placebo tommoz🤫😁

anyhoo by way of a contrast to the shiny mchale:love:.....here's my vermeer emergency belt repair courtesy of my dead welgar donor...180 bales 'not out'😁

ps...if you think that repair is 'rough'...wait til you see the 'chain tensioner' 😗
