Problem with brakes. Been to it today and brake peddles went straight to floor. Where do i start?
Thanks
Thanks
Will take pictures but yeah looks like no filler capWhat does the brake reservoir look like? Is it no filler cap with three pipes from the bottom?
Should he nearly full of oil. If it's low, there's a metal tube inside the middle pipe that has slipped down, dropped the level of the outlet and the master cylinders are sucking air. Take the rubber hose off, push the metal tube up until it's flush and put the hose back on tightWill take pictures but yeah looks like no filler cap
I'm going from a maxxum but it's the same reservoir. Looks empty? On a maxxum it's filled with the oil returning from the cooler and the drain pipe regulates the level. Is oil coming in when the engines running?
Never had a problem past there so I'm no help nowEverything seems ok. A part from sludge looking oil in thereView attachment 1000787
How much oil was in the tank before you pulled it off?Ok. Shall i start it up and make sure oil comes out of the feed. Or put it back together and try
Maybe change the oil before putting it back together. Any leaks from the master cylinders themselves? Looking like a problem with the brakes themselves if notFull i think. But didn't look much like oil the back end oil probably wants changing
No leak as such. Bit damp below brake peddles in cab. I'm going to put it back together, put some more oil in it as its a bit low and see how we go.Maybe change the oil before putting it back together. Any leaks from the master cylinders themselves? Damp under the pedals could be the cylinders leaking oil out and air back in which would make the pedals soft. Good luck anywayNo leak as such. Bit damp below brake peddles in cab. I'm going to put it back together, put some more oil in it as its a bit low and see how we go.
Thanks for your help
Not sure I helped but I'm happy to send a bill just in casePut it all back together, put 5-10 litres of all in back end and bled it. All seems good
