Plenty of Conservative leaning voters, myself included voted Lib Dem this time, partly tactical, it’s almost inconceivable that many lifelong conservatives could ever bring themselves to vote labour, but Lib Dem is a different matter, it was fairly obvious, to me at least, that the only party that could overthrow the Tory’s here was the Lib Dem’s.I would agree except the could have voted labour which certainly gave a very half hearted support for remain and has not stood in the way at all in the current Brexit votes. Note there policy is not to stand in the way of the referendum result.
They could even have voted for UKIP or Reclaim
But no the voters deliberately chose a party still staunchly pro Europe
