What are the latest prices being quoted ? I’ve got a contract up for renewel. Been offered 14p kw. Any better deals?

Been away for a week so not entirely up to date as a result. But late Jan we were being offered over 17p for a July start date.

No due to time pressure of going away and: I also had another offer of over 20p but needed more time to investigate it.

I had some of these big offers too !! By the time they seem to ready to prepare paperwork in order to sign the offer has disappeared. Have settled for 15p fixed for 12 months

Energy market is all over the place at the moment literally hour for hour

I'm seeing prices somewhere around 18/19p today from some friends who are hovering over the trigger. Extremely volatile though as @Exfarmer points out.

You're right, prices are fluctuating constantly. It's hard when comparing one system to another, as every system receives different offers depending on DNO region, system size, type of technology etc. One things for sure though, all offers are high. It'll be interesting to see where the market goes over the next couple of days, no indicators showing that it'll slow down.

Friend signed today at 22.1p. Their morning offer of 24.2p was withdrawn and refreshed when he confirmed he was signing.

Three companies I deal with weren’t offering any new PPA today.

Pretty instantaneously, as they are so closely linked the rise in gas prices will affect the power price forecasts that are used to calculate PPA offers.

PPA quotes reflect the forecasted rates throughout the entirety of the contract period, not the price here and now. Whilst the sharp gas spike has increased the forecasts, it doesn't necessarily increase the price by 1/3 throughout the whole 12, 24 or 36 month period.
