We already do we give them dingys in france and they paddle across , we pretend we cant stop them , great

I wouldn’t think they have had anything other than meat to eat in there lives, there meant to be on Ramadan atm but they where having a beer last night while serving.

Haha we went to Benidorm after lambing one year for a weekend and got talking to some folks on the market selling football shirts, they asked what we did and invited us to eat with them they were fasting tooI wouldn’t think they have had anything other than meat to eat in there lives, there meant to be on Ramadan atm but they where having a beer last night while serving.

First time i went to minorca couldnt belive the amount of lamb on offer , fantastic great , most eating places here dont even have lamb on the menu anymore .

My sentiments entirely, nobody told me I was doing my job badly when I sold big hoggs last year at record prices. As I have previously said it’s easy to farm with Hindsight ( “why didn’t you sell them at Christmas”) I look forward to the the worldly wise telling me this autumn what will be sold for a premium next spring. If we all produce 38-42kg “in spec” hoggs next spring I can guarantee big hoggs will be one hell of a trade !Trouble is a mistake this year is the right thing next year , ie i had big lambs last year great ! Do that again and boom not so great

Agree, i always find if weight is put on through grass its unbeatable anyway , price per kilo is bugger all its price per head v cop thats counts i get happiness out of selling them jnto a market that dose not supply a super market !!

Im not sure things were looking that great, the sheep job was on its knees, foot and mouth was tough, but it halved the sheep flock and prices seemed to pick up accordingly afterwards.

He was right , cattle were quite profitable up to bse , with hindsight just been a bit of a joke since to be honest .
