v v v v v leggy for a bf
What weight would she be as a 4 year oldI think I’ve seen that picture before I believe that’s a chad. Some of our chads are leggy.
Goonhilly chad verity is her name, she's nothing short of absolutely fantastic and a real credit to her breeder and owners. What yields fat and protein

Looks good
would she be eating 1ton of meal in a year to produce those figures
Not a clue. I do know she grazes grass to get those figures!
My highest yielding friesian from last year did 10500 from 2.5t of cake so 5500 litres from forage
Thanks, they don't all do that though! Cake is dairy nuts, don't feed any meal. That would be grazing for 10+ months with silage to top them up when grass growth is slowershe ate 2.5t of cake, as well as grass silage for ~5mths of the year and grazed grass for ~7mths of the year ?
cake is dairy nuts or meal as well call it in Ireland, i presume ? cake is a term not widely used in Ireland hence my question
perfect dairy cow in my opinion btw, a credit to you
Looking good…How are they in the parlour? We freezebranded our in calf heifers last week and the last 5 left in the pen to go through were all brysters! They weren’t nasty about it but they did not want to go through the crush at all and it was very hard to move them! Lovely heifers and very quiet but abit worried about how they will behave in the parlour in September! And another bryster out of a holstein been calved about three weeks. They are very friendly and this one didn't want to be left out!
The complete opposite! They are overly quiet and almost a pain. These two have been very good and no trouble. The first one didn't want to go in at first and wasn't going to be pushed in but she followed me in and has been fine ever since but we didn't get her in as usual before she calved as she was early which was half the problem. The second has been no trouble. I think they are a bit numb maybe. I am less looking forward to the only patrol heifer in the group who is a lot sharper.Looking good…How are they in the parlour?
