I always carried spanners for the implement behind + a few pins wouldn't like to see Vice grips they are the best but have there place in the welding shop repairing chewed up parts, rarely wanted spanners for the tractors unless had stabiliser bars that needed a spanner, then had to be a big-un, going round steam fairs stalls often have part sets of good makes for nothing, whats annoying is missed sizes, often in AF 25/32 I have an very old impact set they fit what it says absolutely, so why are new ones loose, seen missing in new odd sets in MM 10,11,12,13,14,-16,17-19,20,22 and so on think must have lost one look in the lid and no, its just the odd set ones that are missing in other are not, so need three sets to get a full house, why. luckily go back a bit and got Whit-worth find fit better on some mm suppose the bolt heads are made to a poor standard. I do resize impact sockets soften out machine and re-harden, again get the odd one, did the other day, Transit wheel nuts 21mm is a good fit not the crap thing in its kit, even the jack is lacking, impossible if loaded. I often spend more time making something just to save an original part, say to people it a left handed thread you won't get one of those it needs to be made, No taps available for that rate of thread.Well I do make taps big-uns if need be.
