Is your On Top back at work now?Over here guys didn't see the need for high speed big hp. I think ours is probably the only remaining one. The only other Ontop i know of here is a self-propelled slurry tanker.

Yes the cabs look basic but they are on rubber and the truck base utilises the original engine rubber mounts so there is very little vibration coming into the cab. Pretty much as quiet as the truck.. Even If an excavator demolished the cab loading lime (more likely to bounce off) Two guys could rebuild it in a couple of days and have it back to work at next to no cost. Everything else would be a £10k+ job.. AC was an option too. I wonder did the cab get a struggle to get it through safety tests? Engine and gearbox is pretty up to your imagination but mid sized truck engine would be the ticket. 350-400 horse straight six. i'll let you know how well the truck engines work in tractors when I finish wedging this 160 horse deutz truck engine in my agrostar 6.61!What actually stopped them making them? Was it legislation or lack of demand? Never driven one but the concept is good in my eyes albeit just a little bit basic in the cab/ gearbox area. A modern version would sell a few though just maybe not enough to make it viab
