Boumatic milking parlours.

Every one seems to be saying the same type of thing. Good equipment but the people behind Boumatic here UK seems to be bit........laid back?!!!
We are milking in a 18 yr old boumatic. Done 45000 hours. It’s faultless for reliability.
Now looking for a new parlour - rotary probably. If I’m honest I’m honest I will struggle to convince myself to change brand!

Why people buy anything other than a Waikato is beyond me. All the bells and whistles of the other makes seems to blind people. Plastic pulse line on a bounatic vs stainless on a Waikato. Those are the bits that count. The bits that will last a lifetime
Is there a waikato dealership in Scotland? Who services Waikato parlours in south of Scotland region?

Other side of world:whistle: but we have had boumatic machines on our rotary for 16 years. Plenty of flek switches on cup removers and solenoids in the top of them occasionally. That's the bad bits. Good bits are cluster drop on a rotary and the weight of the cups(y). Very rarely have busted claw tops, which we had regularly with alfalfa in the herringbone.

I might jump on this thread if I could, looking at getting a 16/32 installed this year. We have a decent quote from BouMatic Gascoigne and are reluctant to go Dairy Master for same price. Delaval are just working out way too expensive with no wiggle room apparently. Both DM's and Gascoigne's 1st quote is al most 20k lower than Delaval's final quote.

Cluster Flush, dump line, milk meters, ACR's, Air gates would be the main features we are looking at. Autowash about 4.5k extra so unsure on this. Really good service for them nearby also. As well as a few local lads seemingly happy.

Any feedback very welcome!

Auto wash? I presume it's no different these days? On our rotary, once you have air purged the lines , you press a button and its basically auto wash from there. If that's what you mean as opposed to you filling barrels manually and for no set length of time....I'd say dont skimp on that. Most important that it's done the same each time.

Can’t actualy remember the name of our Boumatic parlour but I recommend them. Who would you be dealing with? We deal with elektromechagri, although slightly expensive they are really good. Can go months without mastitis in our parlour, low line 28/28
