There is a seat on the rake and a lever that lifts the tines to release the hay. A double pull will set the mechanism but that just seems to lock the wheels. Maybe I should video it.
wish that I could post a photo. Can anyone explain how.
I have an old horse drawn hay rake that has a mechanism on the wheels that I don't understand. If I find how to post a photo I can explain. Any Howard experts out there.
Thanks for the help. I used the cup of tea method. When I came back from the tea I was trying to take off the oil filter but it wouldn't budge. So I started the tractor and tried the lift again. It worked perfectly. Tea is a good mechanic.
Looks like I will have to top up the oil and give it a try since I cannot use the torque multiplier to check the pump. Just have to wait for a week while I go on holiday.
Torque multiplier lever has been stuck for as long as I have owned the tractor.
I tried moving the selector. I can feel it going into gear. Should it be up or down? I will check the rod.
Normally when I select the pto it will take about 30secs before it engages. Also when starting from cold...
Anyone out there who can help with a PTO. Problem.
I have a Zetor 8111 that I was using to drive a wood chipper.
The pto stopped working.
I checked the gearbox oil level (plug on floor of cab)
It is just covering the tip of the dipstick.
Dipstick does not have any markings.
Could this be...
That could be a reason. I have been replacing a lot of seals including the slew seals. When I took the bottom plate off there was no oil or grease. Just some crude on the plate.
