Massey Ferguson 8130

Probably one of those capers that turn out to be more work than first thought.
Sometimes people get fed up spending and loose sight of the outcome, and only hear the ring of the cash register.

worse case its the load sensing valve if it ends up stuck with filings its a small plus

well lads just wondering how you bleed the brakes on 8110 were fine two days ago and a bit spongy yesterday and gone today. handbrake still works perfect

I usually just open the bleed valve on the top of each trumpet and let it push some oil out.
Given that you have just bought it and it has been 'altered' a bit I would slip the trumpets off now to see if the brakes are ok.
I would place a small wager that they are papped, change the big 'o' ring whatever they look like when you have them off.

On top of the back axel trumpet housing each side there's a bleed screw, you'll need to remove the engine side panel and put a pair of molegrips on the rubber hose coming out of the distribution block under the bonnet that feeds the master cylinders, the pipe will come out of the left hand side of it (if your looking at the tractor from the front) then Rev the engine up to 1500rpm and open each bleed screw and split the brake pedals, pump each pedal untill you get clean oil with no bubbles out of the bleed screw

Sound il try that in the morning should I be looking at the seals in the master cylinders before I take the trumpets off? If discs were gone would the handbrake still work

No, can this cause problems?
I have some dynashift lights at times, like when i start her and then nothing whilst working.
4wd light never works nor does the high and low box light.
Or handbrake.

Checked the plugs with no joy, handbrake light and diff lock only ones that work, no dynashift lights but these work before engine is started. Working on Roberts tractor here

I'd be tempted to undo the 4 screws that hold the dash in pull it out and check that big plug there, get a test light and see if there's power getting to it, could be the printed circuit board that's the problem

cable tie all the multipin plugs after giving them a little wd40 or similar could be a dry connection. then as said it might be a dash issue, thats what i would be looking at anyway
